Focus on SI/PI simulation, IBIS-AMI modeling, and EMC correlation for automotive Ethernet products.
About the role
As a Staff Verification Engineer on the Research & Development team, you will perform verification and modeling focused on signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility. The work includes EMC measurement and analysis for automotive Ethernet products and internal high-speed PCB and package designs.
What you'll do
- Perform signal integrity and power integrity simulation for high-speed PCB and package designs to enhance device EMC performance. - Conduct EMC measurement and analysis for automotive Ethernet products to correlate simulation results and understanding. - Develop and maintain channel and device models (S-parameters, IBIS-AMI) for high-speed interfaces. - Correlate simulations with measurements using VNA, TDR, spectrum analyzer, and lab EMC measurement tools. - Review and drive SI/PI sign-off for internal high-speed PCB design, defining stack-up, material selection, and design guidelines. - Collaborate with IC design teams to define the EMC specification of new products.
What you'll need
- 1+ years of work experience in high-speed SI/PI and EMC-related fields. - Major in high-speed SI/PI and EMC-related field. - Experience with simulation software including Ansys HFSS and Keysight ADS. - Hands-on familiarity with lab equipment including VNA, TDR, and high-speed oscilloscopes. - Experience in high-speed digital system design, including PCB and package. - Understanding of electromagnetic theory, transmission line, and antenna theory. - Proficiency with Python and Matlab for automation and data analysis.
