About the role

This role involves serving as a technical subject matter expert for Dry Etch, Wet Etch, and Clean process technologies in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The scope includes leading yield improvement initiatives and optimizing process capability.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for Dry Etch, Wet Etch, and Clean process technologies.
  • Lead yield improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, defect reduction, and process optimization.
  • Develop, execute, and analyze Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects focused on throughput, cycle time, manufacturability, cost reduction, and process robustness.
  • Lead qualification of new processes, equipment, toolsets, and technology transfers into manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex process and equipment issues through data-driven problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in ChemE, Mat Sci, EE, Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of direct semiconductor industry experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Dry and Wet Etch, Clean process technologies.
  • Ability to develop resolutions to transfer technology and qualify complex toolsets, and resolve problems with diverse scopes requiring in-depth analysis.
  • Advanced understanding of statistical process control (SPC), MFG throughput, efficiency, and engineering statistics.

Nice to have

  • 7+ years of direct semiconductor manufacturing industry experience with Applied Material Etchers, Wet Etch, FSI, and/or JST equipment.
  • Significant CMOS/Bipolar knowledge of device physics as well as device integration.
  • 5+ years of interdisciplinary project management experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • 5+ years of hands-on academic or industry experience with process and materials development.
