This Staff Engineer Photonics Engineer role focuses on driving technology development of photonics and designing, fabricating, and characterizing photonic circuit chips.
What you'll do
- Drive technology development of photonics for scaling towards very large ion trap chips.
- Design, fabricate and characterize photonic circuit chips for a wide range of applications.
- Author technical reports and publications in close collaborations with internal and external partners.
- Supervise Master and PhD students.
What you'll need
- PhD degree in physics, quantum engineering, or electrical engineering.
- 3+ years of hands on experience in photonics, quantum optics and/or ion trapping.
- Fluent in English communication and presentation skills.
