About the role
This Staff Embedded Software Engineer role is responsible for developing robust, secure, and compliant embedded software for Qorvo’s automotive and industrial platforms. You will deliver software for UWB/RTLS, RF connectivity, and power management platforms.
What you'll do
- Manage all aspects of the firmware development lifecycle, from detailed design to integration tests.
- Ensure the link between the Software Architecture team and the Software Development team.
- Perform technical studies and define detailed designs for software implementation.
- Conduct unit and integration tests.
- Perform firmware safety-oriented analysis, including ISO 26262.
- Work with Hardware on boot modes, power sequencing, and timing synchronization.
What you'll need
- Experience with embedded software development.
- Expertise in firmware development aspects life cycle.
- Ability to ensure traceability and secure-by-design principles from MCAL drivers to edge SDKs.
- Experience with Lean Product Development principles such as Front Loading, Risk Detection & Countermeasures.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and external technical partners.
- Ability to provide technical support to software product development teams.
