About the role
This role is responsible for the development of BAW and SAW filtering components used in wireless RF applications. You will be designing microwave acoustic devices, including bandpass filters, ladder filters, notch filters, CRF filters, and acoustic-assisted filters.
What you'll do
- Develop BAW and SAW filtering components for wireless RF applications.
- Design microwave acoustic devices using circuit simulation and EM simulations.
- Perform acoustic and electromagnetic (EM) simulations using commercial and internal tools.
- Provide final device layout to support photomask set creation.
- Work with characterization and test engineers to evaluate and diagnose devices using RF/Microwave test equipment.
- Document product and design information and transfer new products to production.
What you'll need
- BSEE with 5 years of experience; MSEE with 2-3 years of experience; or PhD.
- RF circuit design (including microwave resonator, filter, coupler, antenna, amplifier).
- EM simulation (HFSS or equivalent).
- Layout design and troubleshooting.
- Impedance matching and tuning.
- Filter component evaluation and integration, RF device characterization, and system level measurements.
- Knowledge of microelectronic fabrication and high-volume manufacturing, statistical analysis, and six-sigma method for process improvement.
Nice to have
- Direct experience with BAW or SAW design.
- Programming skills in script language and/or Matlab.
- General knowledge of wireless protocols and communication standards.
