Design and develop bulk acoustic wave (BAW) devices for Defense, Aerospace, Satcom and Wireless Infrastructure applications.
About the role
The role focuses on BAW devices used in Defense, Aerospace, Satcom, and Wireless Infrastructure applications within the 1GHz to 12GHz range.
What you'll do
- Design BAW devices using ladder filters, coupled-resonator (CRF), and hybrid filters.
- Perform acoustic and electromagnetic (EM) simulations.
- Layout devices and generate photomask sets.
- Characterize devices and perform diagnostics using RF/Microwave test equipment.
- Contribute RF skills to integrated module designs.
- Continuously improve design flow, cycle time, and schedule.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 3-5+ years of design experience.
- Experience with schematic design, RF and EM simulation, and design layout.
- 3+ years direct experience in acoustic design (BAW or SAW).
- Knowledge of AWR-Microwave Office and HFSS design tools.
- Understanding of microelectronic fabrication and high-volume manufacturing.
Nice to have
- PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with focus on RF.
