About the role
As a Staff Applications Software Engineer, you will support Ambiq Micro's Apollo and Atomiq families of SoCs. This role involves developing and debugging software, including example applications, device drivers, and HAL updates, for Ambiq Micro and customer evaluation hardware.
What you'll do
- Design, debug, port, and analyze embedded microcontroller software drivers, algorithms, application code, board support packages, automated scripts, and test cases.
- Collaborate with internal development teams to analyze and debug complex system-level issues and develop software solutions.
- Create application notes, knowledgebase articles, and software design guidelines.
- Assist customers with the use of Ambiq Micro SDKs and hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering in the architecture and design of hardware evaluation platforms, and provide software for test and debug.
- Develop custom software functions and applications for microcontroller performance analysis and silicon issue debug.
What you'll need
- MS in ECE or Computer Science with 6+ years of experience or BS in ECE/CS with 8+ years of experience.
- Experience developing embedded MCU code in C.
- Strong understanding of embedded development on Cortex-M MCUs.
- Experience with bare-metal and real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with debugging embedded systems.
