About the role

As an SSD Systems Architect, you will identify, define, and articulate product concepts and SSD architectures for memory and storage products.

What you'll do

• Develop new product architecture specifications and provide system architectural requirements to go-to-market teams.
• Maintain technical engineering relationships with customers, partner system architects, and key technologists to define memory products.
• Work with technologists and design engineering teams to choose concepts and ensure feasibility demonstrations of new product architectures.
• Perform modeling and analysis of performance, power, and host-driven workloads.
• Generate intellectual property, file patents, and represent the company at industry consortia and technical conferences.
• Leverage AI-assisted software and data-driven methodologies to evaluate and improve SSD architectures.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of design, product, test, support, system, or applications engineering experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in SSD or HDD architecture, design, analysis, or troubleshooting.
• Experience with operating systems (Linux, Windows, VMware), device drivers, and firmware-based storage devices.
• Detailed knowledge of NAND flash, solid state drives, or hard disk drives, including NAND management (error detection and correction).
• Hands-on background with storage protocols (NVMe, SATA/ATA, SAS), NAND interfaces (ONFI, Toggle), and storage systems (RAID systems, blades, workstations).

Nice to have

• Experience using engineering tools and agents improved by AI technology.
• Availability for international travel.
