About the role
This role involves memory circuit design for SRAM and ROM internal memory compilers, focusing on solutions for NXP SoC design teams.
What you'll do
- Implement CMOS memory circuit designs to meet performance, power, and area requirements, including periphery circuits for functional safety and scan functionality.
- Generate, execute, and evaluate simulation characterization measurements and simulation test benches, comparing results against performance targets.
- Engage with layout teams on compiler leaf cell implementation to improve area and performance.
- Work with CAD teams on implementing new designs into characterization, verification, and regression flows.
- Align with modeling/verification teams to ensure design consistency with frontend models (behavioral, ATPG, emulation).
- Collaborate across global memory teams to ensure common methodologies and best practices.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of industry experience in SRAM memory circuit design, including design experience with 5nm and beyond CMOS foundry technologies.
- Strong familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso and other industry-standard EDA tools.
- Good knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, tcl, or Python.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with automotive design rules and memory design requirements.
