About the role
As a Senior Technical Product Manager at Keysight Technologies, you will engage hyperscalers, network equipment manufacturers (NEMs), silicon vendors, and AI data center operators on the validation of high-performance data center network fabrics. The role focuses on defining test methodologies for AI data center testing, running technical proofs of concept, and representing Keysight in industry forums.
What you'll do
- Lead technical discussions and architecture reviews on AI data center network validation with hyperscalers, NEMs, silicon vendors, and AI data center operators.
- Define and document test methodologies for AI data center testing, covering congestion behavior (ECN, PFC, RoCEv2), throughput, tail latency, load balancing, adaptive routing, and collective communication workloads.
- Plan and drive proofs of concept (PoCs) with customers, defining success criteria, executing tests, analyzing results, and presenting findings.
- Deliver technical presentations and live demonstrations of hardware and software solutions to customers, partners, and executive audiences.
- Represent Keysight in industry organizations such as the Ultra Ethernet Consortium, Ethernet Alliance, and OCP, contributing to test methodologies and standards.
- Capture customer requirements and translate them into product features and roadmap priorities alongside Product Managers and R&D.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Network Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in network test, validation, design, or architecture roles.
- Solid networking background in Ethernet switching, IP routing, and data center fabrics, including leaf-spine topologies and high-speed Ethernet.
- Working understanding of AI data center networking and fabric performance, including congestion management (ECN, PFC, RoCEv2), load balancing, adaptive routing, and collective communication.
- Ability to author technical content, such as application notes, white papers, and test methodology documents.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites, industry events, and plugfests as needed.
Nice to have
- Exposure to product management, including contributing requirements or supporting product launches.
- Experience in network test and measurement, including test plan design and hands-on use of traffic generators for demos and PoCs.
- Experience in network automation using Python, REST API, or Tcl to develop and execute automated test cases.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deploying network functions and infrastructure as a service.
- Basic familiarity with physical layer and optics, including optical transceivers, copper cables, and CMIS.
Skills: Ethernet, RoCEv2, network test, PFC, ECN
