About the role
This role involves serving as a technical authority in radio frequency (RF), microwave, millimeter-wave, and high-speed interconnect technologies, providing strategic technical leadership that shapes product architectures, technology roadmaps, and long-term innovation initiatives.
What you'll do
- Define and influence long-term technology strategies, product architectures, and technical roadmaps for RF and high-speed interconnect solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in RF design, electromagnetic modeling, calibration methodologies, measurement science, and high-speed interconnect technology.
- Lead the development of advanced RF and high-speed digital physical-layer interconnect structures and systems.
- Provide technical direction for the development and refinement of RF calibration methodologies, including SOL, SOLT, SOLR, and multiline TRL.
- Develop advanced RF measurement, calibration, de-embedding, and error-correction methodologies.
- Engage with strategic customers, industry partners, and stakeholders to understand emerging technical challenges and market requirements.
What you'll need
- 12 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 8 years with a Master's degree, or 5 years with a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive experience in RF, microwave, millimeter-wave, or high-speed digital interconnect technologies.
- Expert-level proficiency with electromagnetic simulation, RF design, and modeling tools such as HFSS, ADS, Sigrity, or AWR.
- Deep expertise in RF calibration methodologies, measurement science, de-embedding, and error-correction techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of RF and microwave measurement equipment, including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
- Strong expertise in RF PCB design, signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility, controlled impedance, and high-speed interconnect design practices.
Nice to have
- Advanced research or equivalent industry expertise with specialization in RF, microwave, millimeter-wave, or high-speed digital interconnect technologies.
- Experience within semiconductor test, wafer sort, package test, or advanced packaging applications.
- Demonstrated history of technical innovation through patents, publications, or conference presentations.
- Ability to correlate simulation results with laboratory measurements.
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturability, product reliability, and technical risk management.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems where requirements may be incomplete.
