About the role
This role involves architectural definition and technical documentation for groundbreaking photonic-based communication fabric products, collaborating with internal engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Propose innovative photonic designs for modulators, receivers, multiplexers, lasers, amplifiers.
- Work with the photonic engineering design team to provide performance, power, and area estimates of photonic devices.
- Actively collaborate with the analog engineering team for high-bandwidth photonic interconnect solutions.
- Author, review, and validate architectural specifications.
What you'll need
- PhD in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or a discipline related to photonics.
- In-depth knowledge of photonic devices and semiconductor physics.
- Experience with integrated silicon photonics components.
- Experience with photonic simulation tools: FDTD, umerical, Verilog-A, VPI Photonics.
