About the role
This role involves designing, prototyping, developing, and debugging software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices to ensure quality and functionality. You will develop software for hardware components and motion control systems.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain desktop applications using C++, C#, and WPF.
- Architect and implement multithreaded and concurrent software solutions.
- Develop software that interfaces with hardware components, instrumentation, motion control systems, and industrial automation equipment.
- Optimize application performance, memory utilization, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, hardware, and integration issues.
- Participate in code reviews and promote software development best practices.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10-15 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C++.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET development.
- Extensive experience developing desktop applications using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
- Demonstrated expertise in multithreaded programming, synchronization mechanisms, and concurrent application design.
- Experience with asynchronous programming patterns and performance optimization.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles and software architecture patterns.
- Experience using source control systems such as Git, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Nice to have
- Experience in the semiconductor equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, inspection, metrology, lithography, test, or automation industries.
- Experience integrating software with hardware devices, cameras, sensors, motion control systems, or instrumentation.
- Familiarity with real-time data acquisition and processing systems.
- Experience with high-performance computing and large data sets.
- Knowledge of design patterns such as MVVM in WPF applications.
- Experience with SQL databases and data-driven applications.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to SEMI standards and semiconductor manufacturing workflows.
