About the role
This role involves the development of BAW and SAW filtering components for wireless RF applications.
What you'll do
- Design microwave acoustic devices using various techniques, including bandpass filters, ladder filters, notch filters, and CRF filters.
- Perform acoustic and electromagnetic (EM) simulations using commercial and internal tools, providing device layout for photomask creation.
- Collaborate with BAW and SAW process engineers and R&D teams, applying knowledge of fabrication process variations.
- Work with characterization and test engineers to evaluate and diagnose devices using RF/Microwave test equipment.
- Support documentation and transfer new products to production with test, application, and product engineering teams.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent, in RF circuit design, EM simulation, layout, impedance matching, filter evaluation, RF characterization, and system-level measurements.
- Knowledge of circuit simulation, front-end radio architecture, communication systems, micro-electronics technology, and fabrication processes.
- Extensive experience designing with HFSS, AWR, or ADS.
Nice to have
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Direct experience with BAW or SAW design.
- Knowledge of microelectronic fabrication, high-volume manufacturing, statistical analysis, and Six Sigma methods.
- Programming skills in scripting languages and/or MATLAB.
- General knowledge of wireless protocols and communication standards.
