About the role
Define, design, and develop radio frequency integrated circuits in complex SoCs and discrete RFICs. This includes transistor-level design of transceivers and associated blocks for wireless applications including 6G, WLAN, and IoT.
What you'll do
- Determine circuit-level specifications based on system-level requirements with minimal supervision. - Develop architecture and design of one or more blocks based on specifications using RFIC engineering tools. - Run simulations to evaluate how circuits perform under various operating conditions. - Floor-plan layout independently, collaborate with layout engineers to generate circuit layouts, conduct physical verification, and participate in layout reviews. - Write test plans, review test results to evaluate performance and identify bugs, and provide guidance to test engineers for design blocks. - Perform radio signal path and circuit topology analysis and debug circuit issues.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or PhD. - 2 years of ASIC design, verification, or related work experience. - 2 years of academic or professional experience using two or more of the following software tools: CADENCE, Virtuoso, ADS. - Knowledge of radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) design tools, technologies, customer requirements, and industry specifications.
Nice to have
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field with an internship or journal/conference publication, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3 years of experience in transistor-level design of RF analog integrated circuits. - 3 years of experience in design of receiver and transmitter RF/Analog circuits. - Experience with Digital Predistortion (DPD) or Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) applied to RF and Analog circuit design. - Experience with design of high-performance RF frequency synthesizers. - Experience with digital control, signal processing, or Electro Magnetic simulation/modeling. - Product experience spanning conception, design, and commercialization.
