Define system-level product definitions for AMD-based solutions combining hardware and software for AI Infrastructure and Solutions.
About the role
The Sr. Product Manager - AI Infrastructure and Solutions owns the system-level product definition, integration readiness, and launch readiness for AMD-based solutions that combine hardware and software into a deployable, supportable offering. This individual contributor role focuses on translating customer and segment needs into clear, testable requirements spanning platform hardware, firmware/drivers, software stack, and ecosystem dependencies.
What you'll do
- Own system-level product definition (HW + SW).
- Author and maintain System Requirements Specifications (SRS) for solutions spanning hardware platform, firmware/driver, software stack, compatibility, manageability, and lifecycle expectations.
- Translate customer/segment needs into prioritized requirements and maintain a structured, prioritized requirements backlog.
- Lead cross-functional dependency and integration planning, identify risks, and drive tradeoff discussions.
- Set performance targets and benchmarking expectations with engineering.
- Support launch readiness and field enablement, including providing product truth to PMM and Sales.
What you'll need
- Strong systems thinking ability to connect workload requirements to hardware/software architecture and lifecycle constraints.
- Experience independently leading complex, cross-functional solution scopes across major segments (e.g., Hyperscaler AI, Enterprise, or HPC).
- Demonstrated ability to operate well in ambiguity and consistently turn it into structured decisions, documented tradeoffs, and executable plans.
- High ownership mindset to drive alignment and closure across teams without formal authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communications for executive audiences, with a track record of producing high-quality artifacts.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
Nice to have
- Senior-level, cross-functional, large enterprise experience in Product Management, Solutions Product Management, Technical Product Management, or Systems Engineering roles.
- Strong working knowledge of platform/system architecture (power/thermals, topology, I/O, networking, memory, RAS).
- Strong working knowledge of firmware/driver and software stack dependencies.
- Strong working knowledge of benchmarking methodology and reproducibility.
- Demonstrated experience defining and launching system-level solutions requiring coordination across hardware, firmware, drivers, software frameworks, and partner ecosystems.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
