About the role
SkyWater Technology is hiring a Sr. Process Sustaining Engineer focused on Chemical Mechanical Polish (CMP) at its Austin, TX facility. The engineer maintains existing processes to ensure production metrics are met and leads process improvements across STI, W, Oxide, or Cu operations.
What you'll do
- Own and sustain a CMP process across STI, W, Oxide, or Cu layers. - Maintain and improve process control using Statistical Process Control (SPC), Advanced Process Control (APC), and Fault Detection Control (FDC). - Investigate and resolve process, defect, and yield issues, qualifying process improvements using Design of Experiments (DOE). - Partner with equipment and industrial engineers to improve tool availability, throughput, and utilization. - Establish new process settings, qualify new polishing slurries and consumables, and qualify new equipment. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integrated technology and yield issues while reducing overall costs.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline. - 2+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience. - Experience with Chemical Mechanical Polish (CMP). - Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in tools such as JMP and SQL. - Ability to conduct statistical analysis on data, apply troubleshooting skills, and work on-site Monday through Friday from 7:30am–4:30pm.
