About the role
This role involves leading the architecture, design, development, and validation of DC-DC converters and power management solutions within the Advanced Power Systems group. The focus is on PMICs for automotive and industrial applications.
What you'll do
- Define and drive system and circuit architectures for DC-DC converters and PMICs.
- Translate product and system requirements into analog and mixed-signal architectures and design strategies.
- Lead architecture exploration, topology selection, and design tradeoff analysis for various power solutions.
- Drive the design and development of critical analog and mixed-signal building blocks.
- Develop control architectures and power management schemes for optimized efficiency and performance.
- Ensure compliance with automotive and industrial requirements, including functional safety.
What you'll need
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership or principal design role.
- Strong expertise in DC-DC converter architectures and control techniques (current-mode, voltage-mode, hysteretic, constant-on-time, digital-assisted control).
- Deep understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design fundamentals.
- Proven experience designing automotive or industrial PMICs, voltage regulators, battery management, or power conversion products.
- Strong transistor-level design and simulation expertise using industry-standard EDA tools from Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens EDA.

How we counted: 69 open Power Electronics (Power Management) roles from 25 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 18 Sept 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Analog & Mixed-Signal family row.
