About the role
This senior-level position involves power module design, defining high current density 48V/12V/5V DC/DC power module products for networking, optical, and industrial applications.
What you'll do
- Define new power module and IC products in DC/DC power solutions for the industrial market.
- Develop application reference circuits and system level power management solutions.
- Perform hands-on lab bench evaluations, system and board level debugging, and prototype demonstrations.
- Support existing products and drive new product development with cross-functional teams.
- Communicate with customers on new product definitions and provide technical support.
- Write datasheets, application notes, design notes, and papers to promote MPS products.
What you'll need
- MSEE or higher.
- 3+ years of experience in switch mode power supply designs, especially in power module products.
- Familiarity with lab tools like oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, e-loads, and frequency analyzer.
- Proven problem solving and hands-on debug capabilities.
- Experience in PCB design/layout and EMI performance optimizations.
- Experience with firmware development for power converters.
Nice to have
- Experience with high power density/high current power converters.
- Experience with magnetics design including inductor and planar transformers.
- Experience with new topologies for isolated/non-isolated/regulated/non-regulated converters.
- Experience with simulation tools like Simplis, Maxwell, Icepak.
