About the role
This role is for a Sr. ML Compilation Engineer specializing in software development within the AI group, focusing on a new compiler for ML accelerator devices with NPUs.
What you'll do
- Apply a data-driven and structured approach for analysis and optimization efforts
- Contribute to AMD's innovation, algorithms, and architectural design changes
- Develop relationships with technical leads and peers
- Debug, analyze, resolve existing issues, and explore more efficient alternatives
What you'll need
- Strong programming skills in C++
- Experience with compilation stack to any custom hardware accelerator
- Knowledge of machine learning model structures
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Nice to have
- Knowledge of MLIR and dialects
- Prior work using Modern source control system such as GitHub
- Experience with AI agents for development or qualification tasks
