About the role
Design, prototype, and build broadband plasma wafer inspection opto-mechanical assemblies. This work supports Broadband Plasma Division patterned wafer optical inspection systems, including the 29xx and 39xx series.
What you'll do
- Design, prototype, and build broadband plasma (BBP) wafer inspection opto-mechanical assemblies. - Use CAD and simulation packages such as Creo and ANSYS to guide and implement designs. - Work with cross-functional teams including systems, optical, electrical, and software engineers. - Collaborate with manufacturing and support organizations to support product launches and resolve product issues.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience, Master's degree with 6 years of related experience, or Doctorate degree with 3 years of related experience. - Track record of successful opto-mechanical designs starting from requirements to release to production. - Experience with CAD packages. - Knowledge of tolerance analysis, optical mounting, alignment and adjustment strategy development, lifetime estimation, and actuator selection. - Ability to work full-time onsite.
Nice to have
- Experience with Creo. - Experience with heat transfer and structural simulations. - Experience with ANSYS.
