About the role
This role involves partnering with Product Engineers, Quality, Planning, and Production Leaders to improve and sustain production processes for MKS Broomfield operations. You will support the manufacturing strategy for the MKS Vacuum Solutions Division.
What you'll do
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify value-added and non-value-added activities.
- Conceive, design, develop, and test innovative solutions.
- Contribute to resolving quality and efficiency issues at the component level.
- Implement and control manufacturing documents, including Work Instructions, Tool Drawings, and Process Drawings.
- Estimate manufacturing costs, update time standards, and recommend tooling/process requirements.
- Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years of related experience.
- In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Tool/Fixture Design.
- Experience with Oracle and Agile.
- Understanding of Product Engineering, Product Design Reviews, ECR/ECO systems, BOM structure, and Engineering Documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with Tubular Components and CNC Machining.
- CNC programming experience.
- Familiarity with TIG welding and Orbital welding.
- Understanding of DFM and DFA principles.
- Experience with 3D printing.
- Experience with Mechanical Assembly.
