About the role
This senior consultant role involves providing technical expertise and recommendations on mainframe infrastructure software to clients and management. You will work with mainframe automation and performance products such as SYSVIEW, OPS/MVS, NetMaster, and Mainframe Application Tuner.
What you'll do
- Communicate Broadcom's capabilities to address customer and partner needs.
- Architect solutions to meet customer technology needs or partner's offerings.
- Execute and/or coordinate complex product integration demonstrations and proofs of concept.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight during trials and POCs.
- Analyze user and data requirements, providing solution modeling and implementation.
- Act as a consultant in studying and recommending actions on infrastructure management.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's in Engineering and 8+ years of related experience or Master's degree and 6+ years of related experience.
- Highest technical skill and experience in mainframe infrastructure software.
- Experience with REXX and/or HLASM programming languages.
- 10+ years’ experience with Broadcom Software mainframe products or similar.
- 10+ years’ experience with z/OS.
- Understanding of major subsystems such as JES, CICS, MQ series, DB2, IMS, and VSAM.
- Understanding of enterprise security managers such as ACF2, TSS, and RACF.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with BMC, IBM, and Rocket mainframe products.
- Experience with z/VSE and z/VM.
