About the role
This role involves defining, building, operating, and lifecycle-managing infrastructure, tools, and platforms for an organization to operate at scale, spanning on-premises and cloud environments.
What you'll do
- Design, build, operate, upgrade, and retire infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, focusing on reliability, security, cost, maintainability, and developer productivity.
- Operate and evolve Kubernetes-based platforms and supporting technologies, including cluster lifecycle, networking, ingress, storage, policy, virtualization, secrets, identity, observability, and cost visibility.
- Own and maintain CNCF and open-source platforms in production, covering troubleshooting, upgrades, automation, documentation, and internal enablement.
- Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD and GitOps pipelines for software and infrastructure.
- Build and operate observability platforms for metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and service health using modern cloud-native tooling.
- Support development and implementation of AI/ML infrastructure and services.
What you'll need
- 5+ years in software development, DevOps, Kubernetes and Cloud-Native Platforms engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing infrastructure lifecycle across on-premises data centers and public cloud, including provisioning, upgrades, patching, scaling, decommissioning, and operational automation.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Salt, Chef, or similar infrastructure automation tools.
- Proficiency in at least one language, preferably Go, Python, Groovy, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and ecosystem technologies such as Talos Linux, Cilium, Gateway API, CSI, KubeVirt, Kyverno, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Experience operating observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Mimir, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.; AWS certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in Linux, Windows, and macOS system administration; Talos Linux experience is a plus.
- *Nix shell and PowerShell scripting experience.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD, Artifactory, and GitOps-based deployment workflows.
- Experience with Vault, External Secrets Operator, OIDC, Keycloak, Okta, workload identity, and secrets lifecycle management.
- Experience with cloud and Kubernetes cost visibility, optimization, and tools such as OpenCost.
- Familiarity with AI and ML frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
- CNCF Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS are a plus.
