About the role
Manage information security across campus labs, colocation facilities, and compute farms to protect hardware and software R&D environments. The scope covers physical lab security, cyber-physical controls for GPU clusters, and IP protection for pre-release hardware.
What you'll do
- Define and enforce security standards across global labs and compute facilities while maintaining site-specific security plans. - Establish security controls for large-scale compute environments like GPU clusters and AI farms, enforcing network segmentation, monitoring, and anomaly detection. - Lead the protection of sensitive IP, including pre-release hardware and software, and develop insider threat controls. - Ensure compliance with EAR, ISO, NIST, and other regulatory frameworks across lab operations and risk assessments. - Design and govern secure connectivity with external partners such as ODC and OSAT using VPN, SD-WAN, and ZTNA standards. - Lead incident response for lab-related security incidents, maintain risk registers, and drive vulnerability remediation and patching.
What you'll need
- Professional experience securing hardware and software R&D environments across labs, colocation facilities, or large-scale compute infrastructure. - Experience defining and enforcing security standards, network segmentation, and cyber-physical controls for compute facilities. - Knowledge of compliance frameworks and export controls such as EAR, ISO, or NIST. - Experience managing protocols for IP protection, insider threats, or sensitive pre-release assets.
Nice to have
- Background in semiconductor, hardware engineering, or other R&D-intensive industries where pre-release IP protection is critical. - Experience evaluating and securing connectivity to ODC (Outsourced Design Center) or OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) partners. - Experience securing AI/ML compute infrastructure, including familiarity with GPU cluster deployments and fabric interconnects. - Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CISA, SANS, MCSE, or RHCSS. - Experience working in or alongside a Security Operations Center (SOC) with SIEM platforms, UEBA tools, and alert triage workflows. - BS or MS in a related field.
