About the role
This role is responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of process utility systems for Amkor's OSAT factory. Systems include chilled water, cooling towers, condenser water, process cooling, steam and hot water, reclaim water, potable water, and process vacuum systems supporting cleanroom and manufacturing operations.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with design consultants, review engineering drawings and submittals, and monitor construction progress. - Support commissioning activities, equipment preparation, operational testing, and resolve abnormalities during construction and start-up. - Provide operational and maintenance support for chilled water systems, cooling towers, steam systems, and process vacuum systems. - Address Out-of-Control Action Plan (OCAP) conditions in cleanroom environments related to temperature, humidity, and process utility pressure deviations. - Apply reliability engineering principles, including FMEA and root cause analysis, to evaluate system performance and implement upgrades. - Review tool process schematics during hook-up phase and perform engineering inspections.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - 3+ years of experience in process utility systems engineering (design and operations), preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing. - Understanding of chilled water systems, cooling towers, steam systems, and process vacuum systems. - Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. - Familiarity with cleanroom standards and adjacent disciplines such as HVAC and exhaust systems. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and Bluebeam.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineering License (PE). - Experience in semiconductor facility design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
