About the role
This position is for an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of semiconductor capital equipment. The role specifically focuses on metrology solutions essential to advanced semiconductor manufacturing within the Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division.
What you'll do
- Perform analog and digital electrical design for prototype and production boards, including schematic capture, board bring-up, and validation.
- Own and drive board-level design activities, including power, signal integrity, and mixed-signal interfaces.
- Contribute to FPGA-based designs, including requirements definition, integration, and debug at the system level.
- Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and modification of electronic boards and sub-assemblies.
- Lead and support troubleshooting of complex board, FPGA, and system-level electrical issues on prototype and pre-production tools.
- Interface directly with external vendors to support new hardware development, assembly and integration issues, and design improvements.
What you'll need
- 5 years of related work experience with a Bachelor's Level Degree, or 3 years with a Master's Level Degree, or 0 years with a Doctorate (Academic) Degree.
- Hands-on electrical design, system integration, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in analog and digital electrical design for prototype and production boards.
- Experience with schematic capture, board bring-up, and validation.
- Experience with FPGA-based designs, including requirements definition, integration, and debug.
- Ability to perform hands-on assembly, integration, and modification of electronic boards and sub-assemblies.
- Experience with electrical work in the clean room on prototype tools, including installation, powerup, performance validation, and debug.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment or a similar complex electro‑mechanical industry.
- Experience in design and ownership of mixed‑signal PCBs and system-level electrical interfaces.
- Strong understanding of system integration, including signal integrity and grounding.
- Experience with FPGA or embedded interfaces, including system-level debugging.
- Ability to support design validation through hands-on work on prototype tools.
