About the role
This position manages the Optical Circuit Switch (OCS) product line at Coherent, directing R&D, Operations, and Sales resources for the product line.
What you'll do
- Develop the roadmap for the OCS product line, establish product guidelines and specifications, and accompany the development process. - Own and drive P&L (profit and loss) for the OCS product line, set pricing, and report P&L metrics to management. - Communicate with customers' R&D to define detailed requirements and manage communication throughout the design-in process. - Respond to customer RFQs, provide technical and marketing collateral, and produce technical documents such as specifications and user guides. - Coordinate product allocations during the development phase and maintain OCS forecasts for internal stakeholders. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities, applications, and customers while driving cost reductions and product change notifications.
What you'll need
- BA or BS in Engineering. - Minimum 15 years of related experience in a technical environment across Product Management, Engineering, Operations Management, R&D, or Product Marketing. - Experience with problem analysis and resolution at strategic and functional levels. - Demonstrated experience managing product roadmaps, pricing, customer requirements, and product P&L.

- MBA or MS/PhD in Engineering.
