About the role
This role leads the Compute Test Division’s hardware organization, driving the delivery of semiconductor test instrument products.
What you'll do
- Lead the Hardware Products Engineering organization and develop its strategy for ASICs, ASSPs, key technology partnerships, and critical engineering investments.
- Develop and maintain multiyear product and technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives, customer needs, emerging opportunities, and future product generations.
- Build organizational capability by recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and retaining engineering managers, architects, project leaders, and staff.
- Ensure predictable execution across the hardware portfolio from concept through production release, with credible plans and clear priorities.
- Collaborate across Systems Engineering, Software, FPGA, Program Management, Product Management, Operations, NPI, and Supply Chain to align resources and improve architecture, design, simulation, verification, calibration, and product-release practices.
- Partner with executives, customers, suppliers, and technology partners while improving engineering productivity through AI, automation, reuse, data-driven decisions, and disciplined root-cause analysis.
What you'll need
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- 15+ years of product development experience, including significant leadership responsibility.
- Proven success leading engineering managers and multidisciplinary hardware organizations.
- Demonstrated track record delivering complex electronic products from concept through production.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation, electronics, embedded systems, verification, and product development processes.
- Experience managing resource plans, organizational growth, and technical execution across multiple concurrent programs.
Nice to have
- Experience with semiconductor test equipment or instrumentation development.
- Experience in a tier-one corporation known for hardware products and design methodologies in a rapid product-development environment.
- Experience with high-speed digital, mixed-signal, precision measurement, power delivery, signal delivery, and complex hardware/software systems.
- Experience building and scaling engineering teams through rapid growth and applying AI and automation to engineering productivity.
