About the role
As a Sr. Design Engineer in the NVE Design Engineering Core group at Micron Technology, you will design and analyze core and mixed circuits used in the development of memory products.
What you'll do
- Design, simulate, optimize, and floor-plan NAND circuit blocks. - Implement analog and mixed-signal circuit designs that meet performance and reliability specifications, evaluating design feasibility across use cases. - Validate design performance at block- and chip-level using industry-standard simulation tools. - Collaborate with multi-functional teams to analyze and reduce NAND power consumption. - Build and maintain Python-based AI utilities that integrate with EDA tools for workflow automation, including environment setup, corner execution, regressions, automated documentation, and predictive build/layout. - Collaborate with Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing to optimize manufacturability, cost, and reliability.
What you'll need
- BS in electrical engineering with 2+ years of relevant NAND design experience (MS/PhD preferred). - Proficiency in analog/mixed signal circuit design, including charge pumps, op amps, DACs, ADCs, linear regulators, oscillators, and bandgaps. - Strong fundamentals in semiconductor and device physics, including understanding of reliability issues such as CHC, NBTI, stress, snapback, Electromigration (EM), and IR analysis. - Experience with circuit verification, optimization, layout planning, parasitic extractions, and guiding layout. - Circuit debugging and problem-solving skills, with experience employing artificial intelligence for task efficiency.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of analog and digital simulators such as HSPICE, Fast SPICE, and Verilog. - Familiarity with Cadence design and LVS/DRC tools. - Experience with a scripting language. - Familiarity with Linux/UNIX.
