About the role
This role involves pitch polishing optics to specifications using conventional spindle polishing machines, followed by cleaning, inspection, and testing with various equipment. You will verify product accuracy and support process and product development.
What you'll do
- Polish precision optics on conventional spindles.
- Perform blocking and unblocking of parts.
- Conduct visual surface inspection of all optical components to ISO standards.
- Measure work-pieces for conformance to specifications using various measuring equipment, including Zygo Interferometers.
- Maintain continuity across shifts by documenting actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations, and ASML 5S requirements.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Intermediate mathematical skills, including basic math and geometry.
- Blueprint interpretation skills.
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gages, and pH meters.
- Ability to work safely with fragile high-value optics.
Nice to have
- Previous optical spindle polishing knowledge.
- Knowledge of SAP.
