About the role
This internship role joins the Solutions Engineering team focused on high-speed digital and optical test technologies, working alongside Field Sales to demonstrate measurement solutions for customer challenges. The position involves hands-on work with instruments such as oscilloscopes, bit error rate testers, and protocol analyzers across standards including PCI Express, CXL, and optical communications.
What you'll do
- Partner with solutions engineers to develop expertise in high-speed digital and optical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, bit error rate testers, arbitrary waveform generators, protocol analyzers, and optical component test solutions. - Work in a lab environment alongside engineers to resolve customer test and measurement challenges. - Learn the technical sales process and participate in customer engagements alongside the account management team. - Build application experience across standards and domains including PCI Express, CXL, USB, HDMI, DisplayPort, DDR memory, MIPI D/M/C-PHY, and optical transceivers. - Evaluate signal integrity, jitter analysis, time domain reflectometry, network analysis, protocol analysis, and wideband signal analysis.
What you'll need
- Currently working toward a BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. - Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, C, Python, or MATLAB. - Ability to create and deliver technical presentations. - US Citizenship.
Nice to have
- Currently working toward an MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. - Background or internship experience with high-speed digital or optical communications interfaces such as PCIe, USB, IEEE/OIF, or silicon photonics. - Experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, bit error rate testers (BERTs), arbitrary waveform generators, or protocol analyzers. - Familiarity with physical layer technologies used to scale AI infrastructure and compute clusters.
