About the role

As a Solutions Engineering Architect at Synopsys, you will partner with High Performance Computing (HPC) companies to understand their system requirements and architect solutions using Synopsys IP. The role spans customer architecture engagement, IP block integration into SoC subsystems, and technical presales support through tape-out and silicon bring-up.

What you'll do

- Engage directly with customer architects and SoC leads to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into technical solutions. - Specify architectures that integrate IP blocks into SoC subsystems. - Support customer engagements from IP evaluation and kick-off through integration, tape-out, and silicon bring-up. - Develop technical collateral including architecture diagrams, design specifications, application notes, and white papers. - Provide feedback on customer design requirements to marketing and design teams to help define IP products. - Provide technical training on IP products to Field Application Engineers and key customers, with estimated 15-30% travel.

What you'll need

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. - 10+ years of experience as a design, system, or applications engineer. - Experience with interface, connectivity, and memory protocols such as UCIe, PCIe, Ethernet, HBM, and LPDDR. - Familiarity with SoC design implementation, including RTL design and verification using Verilog or SystemVerilog. - Knowledge of synthesis, static timing analysis, physical design flows, testbench creation, and simulation, with familiarity in analog/mixed-signal design and verification flows. - Experience with high-speed PCB layout, signal integrity (SI), and operating lab equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and traffic generators. - Prior experience selecting, using, designing, or supporting IP, along with direct customer-facing application engineering experience.
