Build reusable analysis infrastructure and component libraries in Medini Analyze to support ISO 26262 functional safety tooling across semiconductor product families.
Originally posted 24 July 2026 by the employer.
About the role
The Functional Safety Office (FSO) is responsible for independent safety confirmation per ISO 26262, supporting tooling and infrastructure across the portfolio. In this role, you will build reusable analysis infrastructure—starting with Medini Analyze component libraries—and support training content across multiple product families.
What you'll do
- Support, develop, and maintain reusable component libraries in Medini Analyze for safety analysis including FMEDA, FTA, and dependent failure analysis across product families.
- Standardize analysis templates and modeling patterns, translating product-family-specific safety architectures into reusable, parameterized components.
- Support the development of role-based training content for safety activities such as FMEDA execution, safety case construction, and safety requirements writing.
- Engage with tool vendors such as Synopsys-Ansys (Medini Analyze) on capability evaluation, feature requests, and user community activities.
- Contribute to confirmation reviews and safety assessments as domain competence develops through structured mentoring.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor design engineering, quality engineering, systems engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor product development processes and lifecycle.
- Experience with structured analytical methods used in product development, such as FMEA, design verification, characterization, simulation, or reliability analysis.
- Experience building reusable technical assets such as component libraries, parameterized templates, structured analysis workflows, or design tools.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%, primarily to ADI sites in Europe and the US.
Nice to have
- Experience with safety analysis methods specifically (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA), including failure mode identification and classification.
- Experience with Synopsys-Ansys Medini Analyze or comparable safety analysis tools (Isograph, ReliaSoft, APIS IQ, Safety Office).
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508) at a conceptual level.
- Experience developing training content, structured knowledge management systems, or technical curricula.
- Familiarity with automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 or development process standards such as ASPICE.
