About the role
This technical pre-sales engineering role collaborates with North American customers to design and optimize data management, machine learning workflows, and model deployments using Edge Impulse. The position is part of Qualcomm's Industrial Embedded IoT division focused on device-aware machine learning across MCUs, CPUs, NPUs, and GPUs.
What you'll do
- Guide and collaborate with prospective customers throughout North America as a technical advisor to design and optimize data management, machine learning workflows, and model deployments with Edge Impulse. - Contribute to sales and marketing activities by participating in events, visiting prospects, and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations. - Work with engineering and account management teams to envision machine learning solutions and address technical challenges for intelligent devices in industrial automation, automotive, digital health, and related sectors. - Develop transformation, processing, training, and deployment code to build machine learning models from large datasets and deploy them to resource-constrained devices.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of software applications engineering or software development experience (or Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years). - 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python. - 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
Nice to have
- Experience developing embedded or cloud software (Python, C/C++, or equivalent) with exposure to Linux or RTOSs. - Experience with data analysis and machine learning, including Python ML and data libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, NumPy, or Pandas. - Experience developing, launching, or maintaining technical products in commercial markets such as industrial, medical, automotive, or IoT. - Track record of developing technical solutions across multiple domains, teams, and organizations in the US and North America region.
