About the role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will ensure the operational excellence of Lam Research's complex semiconductor equipment. This involves installations, troubleshooting, and understanding customer needs to deliver solutions.
What you'll do
- Provide on-site repair, maintenance, installation, and relocation services for Lam’s electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
- Perform analytical problem-solving, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and equipment malfunctions.
- Stay updated on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification.
- Assist in complex field modifications and updates, maintaining records and reports.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, representing Lam to customers.
- Troubleshoot and create customer response action plans.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing personal protective safety equipment.
- Ability to perform job tasks involving frequent positioning (bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, stand) for extended periods.
- Ability to travel frequently, domestically and internationally, and flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including compressed and alternative workweeks, overtime, and on-call.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with common office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
