About the role
Keysight Technologies is seeking a Software Engineering Intern within the Communications Solutions Group (CSG) to contribute to the development of the Keysight Fabric Emulator platform. The role spans low-level switch ASIC programming through public API server development.
What you'll do
- Learn and expand knowledge of data center networking architectures and high-performance networking stacks. - Work across multiple architectural tiers, spanning ASIC programming to public API server implementations. - Design low-level features programming the ASIC while delivering hardware-independent abstraction APIs to higher software layers. - Develop and debug software targeting data center fabrics, programmable switches, and SmartNICs/DPUs.
What you'll need
- Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Data Center networking, Security, or Computer Engineering. - Hands-on experience with programming switch ASICs. - Programming experience in C, C++, and Python. - Experience with Kubernetes, building services, and debugging within a Kubernetes environment. - Familiarity with CI/CD and Git or other version control systems.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with gRPC and protobuf.
