About the role
As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you will design, prototype, develop, and debug software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices to ensure quality and functionality.
What you'll do
- Provide Reliability and Performance Engineering support for multiple Computer-Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) products.
- Work with subject matter experts and AI tools to automate and improve reliability engineering test methodologies and analysis.
- Conduct root cause analysis of moderately difficult software problems and propose solutions.
- Perform proof of concepts on new software technologies.
- Develop software documentation and test procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field like software engineering, mathematics with software experience, or any related field.
- 2–4 years of related experience.
- Working experience in Linux and/or Windows and databases.
- Working experience in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, PowerShell.
- Prior experience in enterprise distributed applications.
Nice to have
- Experience in .NET and Kubernetes.
- Prior experience in using AI to solve software systems related problems.
