About the role
This role involves developing and enhancing tooling for AI models, focusing on how coding agents interact with and contribute to various layers of the silicon development stack. You will ensure the trustworthiness of agents in testbench and timing report contexts within chip development.
What you'll do
- Close the gap where agents are least effective in hardware engineering work.
- Pair with RTL, DV, and PD engineers to identify and ship context, tools, or harness improvements.
- Build tools to address problems unique to agent-generated code, such as review tools for large diffs.
- Build the evaluation loop for AI tooling by replaying bugs against different agent configurations.
What you'll need
- RTL design, DV, or PD fluency.
- Experience using coding agents heavily with strong opinions on their usage and verification.
- Experience building engineering workflows including methodology, flow automation, review tooling, or agent harnesses.
- Ability to identify and modify agent harnesses when LLM agents provide incorrect information.
Nice to have
- Built tooling or automation for chip design flows.
- Familiarity with Bluespec or another high-level HDL, or with architecture and performance simulators.
