Own end-to-end quality and release certification for an AI-native product.
About the role
This role is for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the AI-native product development team. This position focuses on end-to-end quality and release certification for a full-stack platform built on Next.js, React, TypeScript, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, GraphQL, Airflow, MCP-based AI agents, Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end quality for the platform, building and maintaining a full-stack automated test pyramid.
- Certify releases against clear, evidence-based exit criteria.
- Own test strategy and automation across the stack, including unit/component, API/integration, and UI-driven end-to-end tests.
- Build test coverage for the AI Agent Workspace, including prompt/response evaluation harnesses and tool-call correctness.
- Design and execute non-functional testing, such as API/GraphQL performance and load testing, resilience/failure-injection testing, and baseline security testing.
- Integrate and maintain automated quality gates in CI/CD, including flake detection and environment readiness checks.
What you'll need
- 3 to 5 years in software quality engineering, test automation, or SDET roles.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI-driven end-to-end testing of React/Next.js apps.
- Hands-on experience with API/backend test automation (pytest, pytest-django, or equivalent), including REST and GraphQL testing.
- Working knowledge of component/unit testing with Vitest, Jest, or React Testing Library.
- Experience testing asynchronous, job-queue-based, or event-driven systems (Redis, background workers, Airflow or similar orchestration pipelines).
- Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm, and CI/CD pipelines as quality gates.
- Demonstrable experience using AI coding agents (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) to generate and maintain test automation.
- Understanding of AI-agent/LLM application testing: prompt/response evaluation, tool-call verification, and agentic regression/guardrail testing.
Skills: SDET, full-stack platform, AI-native product, test automation, CI/CD
