About the role
This role involves hardware and silicon validation, focusing on delivering high bandwidth over long distances by performing analog validations on amplifiers, silicon photonics, and upper electronic measurements.
What you'll do
- Engage with functional teams to develop high-speed networking PHY Serdes IP/ICs.
- Work in the post-silicon validation team to collect and analyze bench data and drive tuning parameters.
- Characterize electrical parameters and building blocks such as Tx jitters, CDR loops, CTLE, and PLL.
- Tune internal circuits like peaking, bandwidth, FIFO, and adaptation algorithms to optimize product operating margin.
- Involve in system level hardware (PCB schematics) and work with SI and layout teams to build engineering boards.
- Create, maintain, and own bench automation libraries (python) for various products.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 1-2 years of related professional experience OR Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- Strong analog and mixed-signal knowledge.
- Solid understanding of modern high-speed PHY/Serdes.
- Solid programming skill in languages such as Python, Matlab.
- Strong team work and communication skills.
- Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills.
