About the role
As a Senior Thermal Solutions Design Engineer in the Silicon Codesign Group, you will transform thermal solution concepts into lab-ready builds and support engineering characterization and validation. The role focuses on developing cooling solutions for GPU/SOC products across prototype evaluation, test system integration, and software automation.
What you'll do
- Build thermal solutions for engineering characterization and validation of GPU/SOC products from concept to lab. - Drive end-to-end development and deployment of thermal solutions, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors on build requirements, prototype evaluation, test system integration, and software automation. - Improve thermal design processes by incorporating feedback and findings, developing workflow, and maintaining engineering standards. - Work closely with system architects, chip and board designers, and software/firmware engineers to deliver products. - Apply AI-enabled approaches and tools to support design iteration, test planning, characterization/validation triage, requirements summarization, and anomaly/outlier detection while validating outputs against physics, specs, and lab measurements. - Partner with AI/tooling teams as the thermal domain subject matter expert to define use-cases, success criteria, and evaluation methods.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Thermal/Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related major (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience. - Strong understanding of thermal management principles and fluid dynamics. - In-depth knowledge of cooling solutions and high heat flux problems. - Proficiency in CAD software for crafting and modifying 3D models of electronic components and cooling systems. - Solid understanding of silicon testing, board build, and software knowledge. - Familiarity with adopting AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for design iteration and validation triage.
