- Create and maintain installation, assembly, operation, maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and test documentation for various delivery formats.
- Translate complex engineering input into clear procedures and reference content for technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Validate procedures on semiconductor capital equipment by interviewing engineers, observing installation and testing, and operating/inspecting systems.
- Resolve documentation gaps by reviewing engineering redlines, drawings, specifications, and work instructions for accuracy and completeness.
- Define and improve documentation standards, templates, tools, and workflows for release, revision, approval, traceability, and audit readiness.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree, technical degree, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
- 10 or more years of technical writing experience supporting semiconductor, medical, or similarly complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Ability to convert electrical, mechanical, software, service, and test information into precise, task-based procedures.
- Experience interviewing subject-matter experts and confirming accuracy of technical input.
- Proficiency in organizing large documentation sets and managing concurrent assignments, reviews, schedules, and releases.
- Knowledge of controlled-document practices, revision control, approval workflows, traceability, and audit requirements.
