About the role
As a Senior Technical Writer at Arrow Electronics (eInfochips Inc), you will create, edit, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for Embedded or IoT Hardware Products.
What you'll do
- Create and manage comprehensive documentation sets, including API guides, SDK documentation, and technical reference manuals.
- Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, support, QA) to gather technical information.
- Drive documentation planning, content architecture, and updates in parallel with product releases.
- Review and edit documentation created by other writers to ensure quality, consistency, and clarity.
- Mentor junior writers on best practices, style, and technical accuracy.
- Utilize advanced authoring and content management tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, XML-based systems).
What you'll need
- 4-year degree and 5+ years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in Technical Writing for Embedded/IOT Devices Design and Development documents.
- Sound Knowledge of Firmware and Software Development Tools/Technologies.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA & Confluence.
- Proficiency in authoring tools like Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, InDesign, Illustrator or similar.
- Knowledge of industry standards for technical documentation: IEC/IEEE 82079-1, VDI guideline 2770, ISO 2651x, ISO/AWI 21999.
