About the role
Keysight Technologies is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own the end-to-end outcome of programs spanning both the physical hardware platform and the embedded software running on it. Accountability extends across schedule, target product cost, performance differentiation, and volume manufacturability.
What you'll do
- Own programs end to end from requirements through hardware bring-up, embedded software integration, qualification, manufacturing readiness, and customer deployment. - Drive cross-functional alignment across hardware engineering, embedded and firmware engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and product teams toward an integrated plan. - Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule, critical path, dependencies, and resource allocations while tracking product cost against targets. - Own the risk and issue management process across the hardware and software boundary, identifying developing failure modes early and implementing corrective actions. - Review technical readiness claims and gate milestones, withholding approval when supporting evidence is insufficient. - Deliver internal and executive status updates, maintaining program dashboards in Jira, Confluence, or equivalent tools.
What you'll need
- 8 or more years of technical program management experience, including hands-on experience with hardware platform development and embedded software or firmware. - Technical understanding of hardware bring-up, schematic reviews, firmware architecture, RTOS constraints, and embedded integration testing. - Track record of delivering complex cross-functional programs to a cost target through teams without direct authority. - Experience managing risk, validation, and manufacturing readiness across R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain organizations. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. - Proficiency with program management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Confluence.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. - PMP, Scrum/Agile certification, or equivalent. - Experience in high-technology industries such as wireless, satellite, networking, or test & measurement. - Customer-facing leadership experience handling complex hardware/software programs and escalation management.
