Senior System Power Supply Design Engineer (Data Center) - Pasig City, Philippines
About the role
This role involves the product development of high voltage AC-DC and DC-DC solutions for data center applications.
What you'll do
- Design power electronic components and circuits, including Vienna rectifiers, Totem-pole PFC, and LLC resonant circuits.
- Optimize product designs, evaluate, and document Vienna rectifiers, Totem-pole PFC, and LLC resonant circuits.
- Characterize new circuits and components, including low and high voltage characterizations.
- Generate schematics and supervise PCB layout design.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers.
- Collaborate with vendors, test engineering, and industrialization teams for testing and manufacturing.
What you'll need
- Degree in electronics engineering or related fields.
- Excellent understanding of power electronics and electronics engineering fundamentals.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in power electronics design (gate drivers, switch mode power supply, or power management).
- Knowledge and experience with power electronics components such as GaN, IGBT, Si or SiC MOSFET, gate drives, bi-directional switches, and analog/digital circuits.
- Knowledge or familiarity with circuit simulation tools (e.g., Simetrix/Simplis, Plecs) and PCB schematics capture and layout (e.g., Altium, OrCAD).
Nice to have
- Power electronics design experience and knowledge of power electronic components (e.g., Diode, GaN, IGBT, MOSFET, SiC MOSFET, Gate Driver) and/or SMPS.
- Knowledge and extensive working experience with Vienna rectifiers, totem-pole PFC, resonant converters.
- Deep understanding of SMPS topologies.
- Knowledge of understanding and interpreting international standards (e.g., DIN EN and IEC).
