About the role
This role leads system-level test solution development and product qualification for advanced NAND technologies. You will define test strategies, own test platform bringup on ATE, and ensure product delivery aligned with quality, cost, and target DPPM metrics.
What you'll do
- Define and own test strategy, flow design, test platform bringup on ATE, and qualification to meet quality and cost targets.
- Coordinate test coverage across product development phases to achieve target DPPM, interfacing with NAND technology development, Design, Device, QA, Firmware, Validation, Operations, and Manufacturing teams.
- Lead data analysis, test flow enhancements, production process improvements, and debug activities to meet yield improvement objectives.
- Lead RMA failure analysis activities, direct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions with functional owners.
- Develop ATE test programs, DFT techniques, and system-level test diagnostics enabled through firmware.
- Build and support test software infrastructure to enable automation and AI-assisted flows.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in memory or system-level product or test engineering.
- Deep background in product engineering, product development, trim development, and NAND performance/reliability optimization.
- Strong understanding of PCIe, system architecture, ASIC, and fundamentals of NAND flash operation at the device level.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, product lifecycles, and qualification methodologies.
- Experience with DFT techniques, data analysis tools, and scripting languages including Python, C, or C++.
- Hands-on experience in system and memory testing, including failure analysis using oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.
Nice to have
- Experience with developing or debugging DRAM, PCIe, or HBM devices.
- Experience with generative and agentic AI tools.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

How we counted: 83 open Product Engineering (Memory Design) roles from 10 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 6 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Silicon Validation & Test family row.
