About the role
This role involves building data pipelines and visualizations to transform raw manufacturing and test data into reliable signals for engineers, researchers, and leadership.
What you'll do
- Architect and build data pipelines and infrastructure for manufacturing and test data, including yield, SPC, failure, and reliability data.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and visualizations for various stakeholders.
- Partner with optical, manufacturing, and quality/reliability engineers to translate domain requirements into data models and tooling.
- Build and maintain automated data quality checks and validation pipelines.
- Identify and resolve data gaps in collaboration with domain experts.
- Drive improvements to pipeline reliability, turnaround time, and cost.
- Apply strong software engineering practices to data systems.
- Help set technical direction for the data organization and mentor engineers.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, building and owning data systems.
- Strong SQL skills and experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations with a BI or analytics framework (Superset, Looker, Tableau, or similar).
- Proficiency with the Python data stack (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn, altair, or similar).
- Experience with cloud data infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Track record of partnering with non-data domain experts to deliver data solutions.
- Comfort owning a system end-to-end in a fast-moving startup environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with manufacturing, semiconductor, hardware, or other high-volume operational or test data.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) or yield analysis concepts.
- Experience working across distributed, multi-site teams.
