About the role
This role involves the design and development of SERDES/D2D firmware for reliable, scalable, high-performing network systems. You will contribute to solutions for hard disk drive (HDD) and solid-state drive (SSD) electronics markets, including controllers and product firmware.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the design and development of SERDES/D2D firmware.
- Develop new features and enhance existing features for Marvell MCU coprocessors and hardware-based accelerators.
- Develop software and troubleshoot issues related to hardware bring-up and multi-threaded software development with virtualized hardware.
- Analyze and investigate methods to enhance software performance on Marvell SoC using existing hardware and simulators.
- Work with system validation and cross-functional hardware/software engineers to understand and solve customer issues.
- Design and develop firmware and software for networking products.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields and 3-5 years of professional experience; or Master’s/PhD with 2-3 years of experience.
- Experience with Networking systems.
- Proficiency in Embedded C/C++.
- Experience with Linux Kernel Driver Development.
- Experience with MCU Firmware.
- Experience with Hardware bring-up on MCU, JTAG, and GPIO.
- Familiarity with Ethernet protocol.
Nice to have
- Programming experience with Python or Assembly.
