GNSS baseband receivers for the Exynos SoC line.
About the role
This role is responsible for receiver model development, receiver design, fixed-point design, and performance analysis of location IP for mobile and wearable applications within the Location Group. The team builds products across architecture definition, algorithm and software development, and silicon design for the Exynos line of SoC products.
What you'll do
- Develop location technologies using GNSS signals such as GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and Beidou. - Develop, optimize, and maintain C/C++ receiver models for RTL bit and cycle accurate verification and receiver algorithm development. - Design signal processing algorithms, front-end, and baseband architectures for location receivers. - Work with large receiver end-to-end simulation models to benchmark system performance, verify functional behavior, and validate hardware design. - Collaborate with DV, RTL, and SW/FW engineers to model and verify receiver ASIC implementation. - Perform design verification on FPGA, bring up ASIC and board hardware, and execute lab testing and debugging.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant industry experience, Master's with 13+ years, or Ph.D. with 10+ years in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field. - Software development skills in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB. - Understanding of wireless receiver architecture for GNSS receivers and/or CDMA receivers, including AGC, DSP filters, correlators, FFT, AFC, and PLL. - Foundation in signal processing, detection theory, estimation theory, wireless channels, random processes, demodulation, and decoding. - Understanding of GNSS acquisition and tracking algorithms. - Experience with Git, Gerrit, and Jira.
Skills: GNSS receiver, DSP engineer, wireless baseband receivers, signal processing algorithms, C/C++ receiver model
